What would you do with 200 million dollars?

a young couple wanted to have children, but they couldn't conceive, so they decided to adopt a child.

I checked with my "sources" and learned that the child was half-Vietnamese, half-Korean, and half-Cambodian. He had a very large mother.
Unfortunately, the child and his parents left the Truth. They now professionally write Christmas greeting cards... and are very rich.
Also, all the sisters involved with the rapist/axe-murderer tales also have left the truth.
Happily, all the rapists and axe-murderers are Circuit Overseers... in Canada.

Will this be "the Sign of the Son of Man"?

i just read about a comet that is now heading our way that will come closer to us than our moon.
this comet will be visible in earth's skies on april 13th ( good friday, the day of christ's death ) in the year 2029. it will then return exactly seven years later on april 13 ( easter sunday, the day of christ's resurrection ) in the year 2036. it is said that its 2029 pass through the earth's skies and its gravitational pull may alter its orbit just a little bit so that upon its return in 2036 it may strike the earth.

Okay, so this comet is arriving on Easter Sunday, not Jesus Sunday. Easter is named for Eostre, a German goddess of the dawn, celebrated at the Spring equinox. Next, suppose Eostre originates with ancient Ishtar, a goddess of love, fertility, and war, predating the appearance of Jesus. Wouldn't this comet herald the return of this sexy ancient goddess?
Or could this comet be the spaceship of the REAL Easter Bunny? Wouldn't that be a nice surprise?
Sorry to interrupt your serious discussion, but I don't see the date of Easter or that year as being particularly relevant.

That story is almost as old as the Bible Stories book. It was never published since it is a JW urban legend. I first heard it as a 3 year-old Korean boy who couldn't speak English, but would still readily learn a new language from new parents. They gave him the BS book at the airport and he started crying and the translator explained to them. I think I originally heard it at an assembly, too. Those things are great for starting rumors and relating exagerated experiences.
Sorry Cindi_67, I hate to disappoint you if you were getting excited that JWs do have the truth and someone is listening to their prayers.

I was an insider a few years ago. The list above is correct. There are nine of 'em since the death of Barber.
World Headquarters is still in Brooklyn, that's where the nine of them live and direct Jehovah's Universal Anointed and Other Sheeply Organization.
Patterson is where the US Service Department is, so it's considered the headquarters of the US branch. It's also where the US Legal Department is. Consequently, Patterson would also be the US Pedophile Witness Secret Database Headquarters. GB members all have rooms at Patterson for when they come up to give lectures to Gilead Classes, etc.

Automation is one reason. A rather small reason. Additionally, there's less printing overall, since there's less message worth printing.
The other things already listed are on target.
Additionally, a decade ago, Bethel was seriously bloated with Bethelites. Continued fantastic growth was anticipated in both new converts and financial income. However, when the economy slumped in '01, things didn't look so rosy, and got worse. Armageddon didn't come and doesn't appear to be anytime soon. Alas, what do you do when the Titanic is sinking? You start throwing the furnishings and people overboard. Uh oh, it's still sinking, so throw more people overboard. Um, yeah, it's still sinking, and automation isn't gonna help.
Speed up the engines on Titanic and throw more people overboard! Paradise is just ahead!

I listen to the soundtrack often. Tragic, yet empowering. The story is so very French that way.
I saw it on Broadway. Andrea McArdle (the original lead in "Annie") played Fantine. Flawless and dynamic vocals.
The song "A Little Fall of Rain" was so powerful that the entire audience seemed to die with Eponine.
Truly an operatic ending. You know it's over because nearly everyone is dead.
Hope you get feeling better 5th. Cosette and Marius lived happily ever after. I think they still run a trendy bistro on the Seine.

7. Matt 10:23 applies to our preaching work, every nation, NOT every person will be preached to ( parrelles with the circuit of Israel)
8. Matt 24:14- Now totally fulfilled!!!
9. United nations still 8th King
